The Ultimate British Sports Sunglasses
10 Years In the Making
Why Buy Our Primary + Sports Sunglasses over the competition?
Quality, since we started in 2014 our sunglasses are still out there with their replaceable lenses.
We are British and the first to make a dedicated sunglasses for runners, we could only afford one colour when we started which were black (Now named after the Great Ron Hill)
When we started they were tested on fellow runners to help pick the best shape.
The lenses are not only the best on the market, they are the most Eco friendly
The lenses are curved to give not only better protection from UV400 but also wind and debris.
Comfort and performance is 1st with adjustable nose pads to get the best fit to limit steaming up
Virtually Unbreakable
Continual Development
Probably the best fan base
Our lenses provide unbeatable protection against harmful UV rays, with Carl Zeiss lenses that offer unparalleled clarity and visual performance. The wrap lens design ensures all-round protection, and the mirror finish is durable and resistant to rubbing off
We understand that runners need sunglasses that stay put and stay comfortable, which is why we offer adjustable nose pads that prevent slipping, bouncing, or steaming up during a run. Our sunglasses are designed and tested by runners, so we know they're up to the task. Plus, they're built to last for years, making them an eco-friendly choice. Finally, it's worth noting that our sunglasses have been worn by international athletes, proving their quality and performance on the world stage.
Which lens is best for my sport
We have 7 lens styles any of which are perfect for any sport, but they do have subtle differences which you can give slight differences.
The main choice is to go for either a grey tint or an amber tint the grey is a natural tint for all conditions and brings out the best of the mirrors and the amber tint is great for contrast against green as in Golf, Cricket or Trail Running
The Mirror is a great alternative to polarized when it comes to glare and the mirror gives the lens a touch of style
Polarized I would only recommend for the sport of fishing, as it can hide wet and ice patches making them more risky/dangerous for cycling or skiing
Finally the Ultimate Photochromic is ideal for all conditions and more importantly you can leave them on throughout training or racing
Why Nylon Lenses
This will explain the difference between pricing. There are three lens material TAC you find on Sunglasses at around £45 or below, Poly-carbonate from £40 up and Nylon is only found on premium frames. The reason we use nylon on all our lenses apart from the Photochromic, although this will be updated for next year is the ABE value.
The Abbe value of nylon lenses is a measure of the degree to which light is dispersed or separated when passing through a lens. It is an important property of an optical lens material, as it affects the quality of the lens.
According to the search results, nylon lenses have an Abbe value of around 52, which is higher than polycarbonate lenses (Abbe value of 30). This means that nylon lenses have less chromatic aberration and are considered to have near-perfect optical quality.
